The GlamourPuss
Art Department
The Glamourpuss is Mimi von Schack’s marvelous marriage of glamour and gabbing. She is a certified pro make up artist, specializing in skin tone matching for all shades, headshots and photoshoots, and retro and vintage styles. She takes appointments at her home studio in East LA, or can travel to you, your set, or your space.
With a focus on repurposing vintage and pre-loved pieces and materials, Twenty Beach provides art department and art direction services to portfolio shoots, stage and set design.
PRODUCTION
Directing & creative producing
Mimi von Schack specializes in directing one-person shows, taking an idea from conception, to ideation, into full realization on stage in sold-out performances. She works with each creative to define their unique voice, and then uses actionable milestones to make the process exploratory and productive. von Schack directed such sold-out shows as: “Aliza Kelly’s Tea Party,” “Grin & Bear It,” “Killer Culture,” and “Pretty Fat.” She has taught sketch writing at Netflix, character and improv at Rogue, and coaches comedians regularly.
She directed an episode of “Pain in the Neck,” a lesbian vampire comedy, which will be featured at the 2026 Dances with Films Festival, and then premiering online Fall 2026.
von Schack has produced over 50 live comedy shows, and is known for her innovative approach to using the theater space and a small budget for a huge impact.
